Why is it Jesus speaks so strongly against divorce and remarriage? Beacuse those words came to mind be your yes a yes and your no a no. Marriage the Alliance between God and man they both need to rest on a firm meditated seriously taken decison. It needs to rest on that and not on the shaky seas of whimsical desires. Potentially, and the sin of promiscuity and sexual infidelity is a very grave one, those desires, if and i say if not controlled, are the ones that make us more liable to lose the way and go astray coming short of the pact. Faithfulness to that and to the Commandments - not coveting what`s not yours etc etc all resting on faithfulness to the Lord - they how can i say feed each other strenghetn each other by strenghtening ours conscious and resposnible commitment.
