By his humiliation my servant will justify many;

After his suffering he will see light and be satisfied; it is their guilt he bears.

Therefore I shall allot him a portion with the great, and he will share the spoil with the mighty,because he exposed himself to death and was reckoned among transgressors, for he bore the sin of many and interceded for transgressors.Isaiah 53:11-12

The Crucifixion
This junction was very complexed and full of surprises and curiousity, as it challenged what Jesus proclaimed to the world regarding his mission. Everyone wondered if Jesus was God and whether he will save himself. Fortunately he saved himself and us, unfortunately it was not recognized during that time and well as today. It was at the cross where I first saw the light and teh burdens and sickness of my heart roll away. It was there by faith, I recieved my sight and now I am happy everyday.His crucifixion washed away my sins, healed me and bore my bordens.

Luke`s Biography of Jesus - The Crucifixion
Jesus saidfather forgive them for they know not what they do. These people who one moment were praising god and glorifying Jesus.They truly thought if he were the Messiah he would rule them not die on the cross. When he said father why have you forsaken me? Remember he had taken the sins of all on himself and God being holy could not look on his filth. and sin.When he said It is finished. He meant his purpose here as a man had come to completion.His reason for being a man had accomplished what was intended in the first place. Even his diciples were not there. They too had lost faith for a time. In fact untill Jesus return for 40 days.

Jesus`s Suffering
Jesus went to the cross for me to pay the penality for my sins.How many times has that been discussed. I think it has been discussed so many time we are becoming blase about the action. But when we read from the old prophets the fortell of what men would be doing to Jesus it then was maybe just a statement.But it wasn`t it was true. Jesus did fulfill everything the Prophets said. He never cried out, He knew what He had to do. It was His Father`s will for him to do it. Jesus knew how bad it was going to be but He was not going to go against His Father. In the bible it says it Pleased His Father that He was crucified.

The Crucifixion

When they led him away, they grabbed one Simon of Cyrene, coming from the country, and laid on him the cross, to carry it after Jesus. A great multitude of the people followed him, including women who also mourned and lamented him. But Jesus, turning to them, said, "Daughters of Jerusalem, don't weep for me, but weep for yourselves and for your children. For behold, the days are coming in which they will say, 'Blessed are the barren, the wombs that never bore, and the breasts that never nursed.' Then they will begin to tell the mountains, 'Fall on us!' and tell the hills, 'Cover us.' For if they do these things in the green tree, what will be done in the dry?"
There were also others, two criminals, led with him to be put to death. When they came to the place that is called The Skull, they crucified him there with the criminals, one on the right and the other on the left.
Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they don't know what they are doing."
Dividing his garments among them, they cast lots. The people stood watching. The rulers with them also scoffed at him, saying, "He saved others. Let him save himself, if this is the Christ of God, his chosen one!"
The soldiers also mocked him, coming to him and offering him vinegar, and saying, "If you are the King of the Jews, save yourself!"
An inscription was also written over him in letters of Greek, Latin, and Hebrew: "THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS."
One of the criminals who was hanged insulted him, saying, "If you are the Christ, save yourself and us!"
But the other answered, and rebuking him said, "Don't you even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation? And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward for our deeds, but this man has done nothing wrong." He said to Jesus, "Lord, remember me when you come into your Kingdom."
Jesus said to him, "Assuredly I tell you, today you will be with me in Paradise."
