How does Jesus want to care for the people of Jerusalem (Israel), and how do they respond?
He tries to gather them under his maternal wings but he is rejected. His loving helping hand is not welcome. So he kind of gives them an ultimatum. I will be here for three days. If you wish follow and I shall cure you of evil. If not I shall move on. He cries out Jerusalem why the called flock wants to stone and kill the prophet sent for salvation. Despite this answer of hatred and rejection he seems to promise to return as God`s will is that he will be killed in his own land ''nobody can be a prophet in his own land'' This is how I understand these words. Nevertheless I must go on my way today and tomorrow and the next day, for it can`t be that a prophet perish outside of Jerusalem.` Am I wrong? Please correct :'' By: Alessandra Parrini - November 20, 2006 - Public Category: Jesus` Sorrow for Jerusalem

Does anyone else feel that the Jewish` denial of JESUS goes all the way back to the day of Calvary.
The very place that was supposed to be most Holy , was where Jesus knew He must die. Where the high priests of the day turned on him out of jealousy and fear. And I wonder if deep down they felt as though they were doing God`s will. I need to pray long and hard before I make any major decisions, so I don`t make the same mistake they made [ on a much smaller scale of course ] Nevertheless still signifcant in God`s will for my life. On that same day,
some Pharisees came, saying to him, "Get out of here, and go away,
for Herod wants to kill you."
He said to them,
"Go and tell that fox, 'Behold, I cast out demons and
perform cures today and tomorrow, and the third day I complete my mission.
Nevertheless I must go
on my way today and tomorrow and the next day, for it can't be that a
prophet perish outside of Jerusalem.'
"Jerusalem, Jerusalem, that
kills the prophets, and stones those who are sent to her! How often I
wanted to gather your children together, like a hen gathers her own brood
under her wings, and you refused! Behold, your house is left to
you desolate. I tell you, you will not see me, until you say, 'Blessed is
he who comes in the name of the Lord!'"
