Division
Division in the family unit is one that goes on for eternity, and Jesus states it clearly.  Every human has a right to do and believe in what they wish, and no one can stop them.  If a child moves towards Christ at an early age, and the elders don't, what right does the elders have to stop a child in that belief?  It's a tricky situation, as the beliefs a chid may take up can also be very dangerous.  So when do the elders step in?  That's a legal question, and should be answered by God himself!!

What division is Jesus intend to bring about?
Jesus is saying that father, mother and son will disagree with one another, for instance my father (akanvese) was woshing gods so when i gave myself to Christ he was not free with me again. Even the Bible said if you want to followe Me (Christ) you must deny youself, father and mother and take the CROSS and followe Me.

What division did Jesus intend to bring between people?
He has come to divide potentially even blood families to recreate a New Spiritual family - all linked to God the Father. In Christ, with Christ through Christ. Through the Baptism of the Holy Spirit flowing from one to another. Holy Spirit a binding element far stronger than the eartly links that MAY drive us away from the Father. Father pulling each of us towards Him through Christ and each other trying to lovingly pull our loved ones in. Enthicing them in the Family House. Fightin with the other hand the devil`s trying to pull them his way.

What division did Jesus intend to bring between people?
I am not so sure obout this kind of division that Jesus intend to bring between people but my idia is if one or two or three of the members in the family got to maried they will seperate their parents and lived together in one new family, indefendently of their own choices of conditions in life, this is the natural ways of divisions in the cycle of the generations to generations, but every family must be christ centered.

Not Peace but Division

"I came to throw fire on the earth. I wish it were already kindled. But I have a baptism to be baptized with, and how distressed I am until it is accomplished! Do you think that I have come to give peace in the earth? I tell you, no, but rather division. For from now on, there will be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three. They will be divided, father against son, and son against father; mother against daughter, and daughter against her mother; mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law, and daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law."
